About the film

Inspired by the story of the battle of Dovra monastery in 1822 in Veria, Greece, the love story of two young Greeks unfolds as they prepare to secretly get married in a church that is surrounded by Turkish troops. Within the war-hostile climate of the era, two families meet in a monastery to make a marriage secret. But that does not go unnoticed. A betrayal will lead thousands of Turkish soldiers out of the monastery. The abbot of the monastery, the monks and members of the two families, grab arms and Siege begins. Along with her, a survival struggle and a cycle of revelations are also beginning. The story unfolds on the big screen, through the discussion of 2 officers of the Greek army, at the Rupel Fort in March 1941.
